February Book of the Month Announcement | January’s Readers

Happy February! Before we get to the exciting announcement of what our book of the month is for February, we need to see who completed the reading challenge for January. Who are the readers?

Here’s the list for January!

Now on to this month’s book! For February, I decided to choose a book by my favorite author, Charlotte Maria Tucker, otherwise known by her pseudonym, A Lady of England. It was hard for me to decide which of her books to pick for this month’s reading challenge since there are so many good ones.

Of course I couldn’t begin with my absolute favorite; that one will come in a later reading challenge. So after going through almost all of her books that I have, and some I don’t have but want to read, I finally decided on one.

Our book for February is The Robber’s Cave by Charlotte Maria Tucker. The Robber’s Cave is a very exciting story, set in 19th century Italy. It contains a good Biblical lesson and makes for an interesting read.

I’ll try to give a quick description without spoiling any of the important parts of the story. It is about a young man and his mother who are on vacation in Italy when they are held up by a band of mountain robbers.

The young man is to be held hostage until his mother can see about arranging the release of the chief robber’s son, who has just been captured by soldiers. What follows is an exciting story of all that happens while the young man is prisoner in The Robber’s Cave.

It has been several years since I read the book, so I am looking forward to revisiting it, seeing what I have forgotten, and remembering my favorite parts.

You can download the PDF for free from Google Books. Then you can read it on your computer or transfer it to another device.

Of course, if you would rather, you can choose a book of your own to read. That is always an option, though it will be fun if we read the same book together.

If you want to participate, just leave a comment and let me know. Sometime around the middle of the month, I will do a post where I discuss the book, sharing what has stood out to me. You can share your thoughts then, too. If you join the challenge and complete it, let me know because the first of every month, when I tell what our new book is, I will be telling who completed the previous month’s reading challenge.

If you’re finding this post and it’s not the beginning of the month, feel free to go ahead and jump in! Or you can subscribe to the blog by email and get notified when next month’s reading challenge rolls around.
