An Amazing Privilege, Peace, & Patience

Today we will be looking at reasons for praising God that begin with the letter P.

Privilege of prayer

We have the privilege to talk to the Creator of the universe, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

Jeremiah 33:3

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Ephesians 6:18

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Peace

Philippians 4:7,9

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

True peace can only be found in God. And when we are filled with His peace, we do not need to worry or be afraid, no matter what situation we are going through.

Patient

Romans 15:5

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

privilege of prayer

God is patient with His children when we make mistakes and He is also patient with the lost, giving them opportunities to take advantage of His mercy rather than face His judgment. I’m so thankful for God’s patience, and that He doesn’t just give up on us when we mess up over and over again.

Psalm 86:15

But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

I hope each one of you has a blessed day as we look for even more reasons for praising and thanking God!
