Great is Thy Faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be
Chorus:
Great is Thy faithfulness, great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside
Never-failing
The Hymn, Great Is Thy Faithfulness is based off some of these verses from Lamentations.
Lamentations 3:21-26
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
God will never fail us. We can put our full trust in Him, with no need to doubt that it might be misplaced. If He asks us to do something that seems hard or even impossible, we can go ahead and do it, knowing that if God asked us to do it, He will give us the strength to do it.
And He will always be with us as we follow His will for our lives. When times are difficult, we do not have to worry about God leaving us to handle things on our own. He will not fail us.

We will fail God, but even when we do, He will not fail us. He is just as faithful and loves us just as much when we do wrong as when we are faithfully serving Him. That doesn’t mean we won’t be disciplined for our wrongdoing, but our sin won’t change His love for us.
Psalm 89:31-34
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
I am so thankful that we can put our full trust in God, knowing that no matter how many times we may fail Him, He will never fail us.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God, My Father!
